God did not favor Cain’s offering even though tilling the ground in those days was a lot harder than it is today. You can not develop an attachment to a head of Cabbage, or hug an Ear of Corn and hear it make a joyful noise.
Abel’s offering was hugged and loved it did things that made you laugh and care about it. It was a matter of representation, not the presentation that made God respect the sacrifice of Abel over Cains. About 15 years ago I helped with a garage raising at a Brother in the Lord’s home we were up in the rafters when his wife came out below us and began grilling some steaks.
