In the wilderness, he asked Jesus to bow down to him and serve him, and he would give Jesus the kingdoms of the earth.
First of all, let us rightly divide the word on this matter. They were not his to give, and what Satan took from Adam was going to be taken back by Jesus.

Why the man he seeks to give it too must fight for it is beyond me? When all of this is to point to how great HE is, if only they would be willing to honor God’s SON and HIS word, they would see that.
Some would not like to see God the Father hand it to me; they would much rather be the recipients. They are exercising their ignorance over the matter. So they are saying the SON of God’s honor holds no value? So they delay the salvation of many because of this petty response to the call. Often its the darkness in them fearful of their end and exposure.

In Daniel, we also locate another exciting passage that talks about a daily sacrifice. Unless it was a feast week or specific time set aside to sacrifice, it was not an everyday occurrence. In a crowd of 100’s a preacher can call out what is perceived as a word of knowledge.
